Product Description
The SU PUMP MVP series is a compact positive displacement rotary vane pump, oil-free, two-vane, single-stage, self-priming (no pre-filling of the housing or suction pipe required – dry suction).
Self-priming capability is up to 3.5 metres (depending on viscosity, density and flow rate). The pump is lightweight and compact in size.
Suitable for transporting various liquids:
- free of mechanical and insoluble impurities (max. 0.5% by mass and 0.25 mm particle size),
- ordinary, toxic, flammable, explosive, crystallising or sticky media,
- creams, resins, liquid-gas mixtures, etc.
The pump provides constant flow, operates with high energy efficiency and is available in flexible monoblock design (IEC electric motor or geared motor with single-piece shaft).
Shaft speed and flow rate are directly proportional. Overall efficiency remains practically constant across the full operating pressure range.
Design Features
The innovative MVP design uses vanes made from high-quality POM thermoplastic or bronze. Excellent anti-friction properties ensure proper sealing and optimal rotor performance.
The pump housing features internal radii with offset centres, eliminating the need for springs or fluid pressure beneath the vanes. Radially unloaded vanes minimise wear, fluid acceleration and noise levels.
Fluid compression, swirling and pulsation are eliminated. In idle mode, the pump closes almost completely, preventing backflow and siphoning.
Static sealing of the cover is achieved using an FPM O-ring.
Materials and Sealing
SU pump components are manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel. High-precision machining enhances reliability and efficiency.
The enlarged inlet port (ISO 228-1 internal thread) virtually eliminates cavitation, improves discharge pressure and extends service life.
Single or double seals with composite PTFE sealing lips (FREUDENBERG SIMRIT) significantly increase service life and provide high sealing reliability.
Pumps may be used:
- in open or closed systems,
- in humid environments,
- vertically or horizontally mounted,
- in series or parallel configurations,
- installed in pipelines,
- as booster pumps,
- as stationary or mobile units.
Fields of Use
The pumps meet hygienic and industrial requirements in the food, beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, shipbuilding, energy, agricultural, water supply and HVAC sectors.
During transfer, they do not cause damage, foaming, separation or alteration of aroma.
They are suitable for dosing, filling/emptying, spraying, circulation, crystallisation, emulsification, homogenisation, concentration and bottling.
They may also be used as laboratory pumps and as mixers for continuous or batch fluid mixing.
